Big thanks to YOU for helping the Able Voices photography program receive $10,000 from the First Tennessee Foundation's 25 years of giving video grant competition.  Your votes put us at the top 13 videos out of over 500 submissions!  Funds will go toward cameras and project programming for special education students in Williamson County Schools for them to ultimately create photographs that express who they are as individuals. The Arc Williamson County and I are incredibly grateful to the First Tennessee Foundation for supporting this program and fostering the art and craft of photography as a powerful means of self-expression, empowerment, and advocacy.  I just uploaded the  video to YouTube so you can view it below and learn about the program in just 60 seconds!
Be On The Lookout… for the November 2018 issue of The Tennessee Magazine. Robin Conover, editor and fellow photographer friend, was SO awesome to visit us at Franklin High for a day to share our program with communities across the state in an upcoming story. This project at Franklin High has been made possible by a "Sharing Change" grant from the Middle Tennessee Electric Corp and additional support from The Arc Williamson County.  Here’s a photo from the other day…
